Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Load Booking & Negotiation: Source, book, and negotiate top-paying freight rates with brokers and shippers based on carrier preferences and lane optimization. Fleet Coordination: Efficiently schedule, dispatch, and manage a fleet of drivers/operators (including Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed, or Hazmat, as required). Real-Time Tracking & Communication: Monitor driver locations, speeds, and ETAs using advanced GPS tracking tools. Maintain constant communication to keep drivers, brokers, and clients updated on transit status. Route Optimization: Plan strategic, efficient routes to minimize travel time, reduce fuel consumption, and eliminate unnecessary idle time. Problem Resolution: Act quickly to resolve in-transit delays, mechanical breakdowns, weather disruptions, or client adjustments to ensure minimal downtime. Back-Office Compliance: Review and manage crucial paperwork, including Rate Confirmations, Bills of Lading (BOL), and proof of deliveries (POD). Ensure full adherence to DOT regulations and hours-of-service (HOS) rules. Relationship Management: Foster strong, long-term partnerships with drivers, owner-operators, and freight brokers.
